Laver Cup: Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal form doubles team

Arch rivals Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal will play doubles together for the first time at the Laver Cup tonight.

The world's top two players, who won all four grand Slam title between them this season, were named as Europe's doubles pairing by captain Bjorn Borg on Saturday.

They will take on Team World's Jack Sock and Sam Querrey in the final match of the day at what has been dubbed the 'Ryder Cup of tennis'.

Both Federer and Nadal will also be in singles action in the afternoon session in Prague with the Swiss opening the day's proceedings against Querrey before Nadal takes on Sock.

The other singles match of the day, which takes place prior to the evening doubles, will see local hero Tomas Berdych meet Nick Kyrgios.

Europe lead 3-1 after the opening day's play but twice the amount of points will be on offer in each match on Saturday.

The betting suggests Europe could well extend their advantage. Both Federer and Nadal are 1/5 favourites to win their singles matches, but Kyrgios is a marginal jolly (at 8/11) to beat Berdych.

The destination of the trophy will be decided on Sunday when three points will be awarded to each match winner. A total of 13 points is the target to become champions.
