Dan Evans made it through to the final round of qualifying at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells as he saw off Belgium's Ruben Bemelmans in straight sets.
The Briton beat Bemelmans 6-4 6-4 in an hour and 35 minutes and will now face American Noah Rubin.
Bernard Tomic, seeded fourth in the qualifiers, is out after the Australian lost 7-6(5) 2-6 6-3 to Lukas Rosol of the Czech Republic in their first qualifying round encounter.
Paolo Lorenzi's involvement is over having retired at 5-4 down in the first set against fellow Italian Salvatore Caruso, while Uzbekistan's Denis Istomin advanced with a 6-3 6-4 victory over American wildcard Evan Song.
No joy for Boulter
Britain's Katie Boulter failed to book a spot in the main draw at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells after losing to Viktorija Golubic in the second round of qualifying.
The 22-year-old, seeded sixth in the qualifiers, fell 6-4 6-3 in an hour and 25 minutes.
The pair traded breaks of serve throughout the match - Boulter taking the first break in the very first game - but it was Golubic who edged the victory.
The Briton, currently the world number 85, had been playing in the event for the first time.
Johanna Konta will be the only British woman to compete in the main draw, and will take on Pauline Parmentier in the first round.
