Shanghai Masters Snooker History

Dominic Dale won the inaugural running of the Shanghai Masters when beating Ryan Day 10-6 in the final back in 2007 but since then, Ronnie O'Sullivan has dominated the event.

O'Sullivan first got his hands on the trophy when trouncing Liang Wenbo in the final in 2009 before proving victorious in 2017 and then again 12 months later.

Last year's victory was the first time the tournament was a non-ranking event having held ranking status for the previous 11 renewals.
