Shanghai Masters: Ronnie O'Sullivan crushes Judd Trump 10-3 in final

Ronnie O'Sullivan's superb run of form continued as he crushed Judd Trump to win the Shanghai Masters.

The 41-year-old won the English Open a fortnight ago and last week reached the final of the Champion of Champions event.

This was perhaps his best showing out of the three, though.

Trump had conceded just three frames all week prior to the final but was drubbed 10-3 as O'Sullivan walked away with a cheque for £150,000.

It also takes him to 30 career ranking titles, six behind all-time leader Stephen Hendry, and there are no signs of him slowing down.

'The Rocket' passed 900 career centuries last weekend and, if he wins the Northern Ireland Open next week, he will stay on course for the £1million jackpot on offer for winning all four Home Nations events.

"I knew Judd was in good form because he has been playing well all week," O'Sullivan said afterwards.

"My mind has been as good as it has ever been this week. There were a few moments where it got a big edgy but I managed to think my way through. I wasn't at my best today but mentally I was in the right place."

He added on World Snooker's official website: "I have had a fantastic last four weeks. I feel a bit tired but I don't mind that if it means winning tournaments. I've got my titles in the bank and I can build on that."
