Beaten UK Championship finalist Mark Allen is safely through to the second round of the Scottish Open.
Allen, who was beaten 10-6 by Ronnie O'Sullivan in York on Sunday, overcame 2016 English Open winner Liang Wenbo 4-2 in Glasgow.
Shaun Murphy also advanced, registering a century break in a 4-1 victory over Sunny Akani.
Joe Perry beat James Wattana 4-0, while Alfie Burden started with a 102 break as he beat Peter Ebdon 4-2.
Luke Simmonds, who lost 6-1 to O'Sullivan in the first round of the UK Championship, bounced back from that in a 4-0 victory over Dechawat Poomjaeng and Robert Milkins beat Fergal O'Brien by the same scoreline.
Judd Trump also dismissed his York disappointment as he needed less than an hour to whitewash veteran Jimmy White 4-0.
Trump, who won the Northern Ireland Open before crashing out of the UK to Joe Perry in the last 16, told Eurosport: "My game is still there and I'm trying to stay positive. You're going to get a bad game like I had in York."
Kyren Wilson beat Oliver Lines 4-2 but former world champion Stuart Bingham crashed to a 4-0 defeat to China's Tian Pengfei.
