Off the mark in 1m Gowran maiden in September and improved further to follow up on her first try in Group company at Leopardstown 8 months later. Failed to repeat that effort in Irish 1000 Guineas at the Curragh last time and now steps up significantly in trip.

Dubawi filly out of a Lancashire Oaks/Lillie Langtry winner. Justified market confidence in ready fashion on debut at Newbury and built on that when 5½ lengths second of 5 to Emily Upjohn in Musidora Stakes at York. Will be suited by 1½m and open to further improvement.

Group 3 winner last season who is bred to make a better 3-y-o and showed improved form when narrowly denied in a Navan listed event (10f) on reappearance. That form is working out well and her pedigree suggests there's more to come, especially now upped further in trip.

New Approach filly who overcame unfavourable circumstances to make a winning debut at Wolverhampton in January. Useful efforts in defeat since, including when doing her best work at the finish in 10f Newbury listed event last time. Likely to stay 1½m and open to further improvement.

An improved performer this term, runner-up on reappearance at Windsor before a gritty success at Brighton (backed up by clock). Ran at least as well when close second in listed Oaks Trial at Lingfield (11.6f) last time but more needed at this level.

Improving Sea The Stars filly who won 1m Nottingham maiden in May with plenty in hand and was suited by step up in trip when following up in Goodwood listed event (9.9f). Looks sure to go on to better things.

Forecasts

Sea Silk Road (15/8), Magical Lagoon (11/4), Life Of Dreams (4/1), History (13/2), Mukaddamah (8/1), Mystic Wells (18/1)

Verdict

MAGICAL LAGOON showed improved form when narrowly denied in a Navan listed event on her reappearance and, with that form working out well, she's an appealing candidate, especially with her pedigree pointing towards further progress over this longer trip. Sea Silk Road and Life of Dreams are also very promising and rate big threats.
