A low-grade finale, albeit potentially a competitive race with a few reliable types in the line-up. Dodgy Bob went agonisingly close to breaking the AW maiden tag at Wolverhampton on Wednesday and assuming all is well physically should be in there pitching from an early stage, whilst the still well-treated Foxy Boy merits respect despite tackling an extra furlong tonight. Conversely, the tentative selection I AM DANDY drops back in trip having shown consistent Newcastle form (7f-1m) in recent months. With improvement a distinct possibility, others worthy of consideration include Sovereign State, Melo Pearl and the Irish-raider Ice Bullet.
