Looked as good as ever when winning a handicap at Newton Abbot for the second successive year in April. First beaten on his return from 6 months off at Ffos Las 3 weeks ago, though.
Ended 2024/25 with a career-best success in Premier Handicap at Ayr but he ended his time with Gavin Cromwell out of sorts and hasn't fared any better in 3 starts for this yard.
Has improved since sent chasing, winning novice handicap at Ayr last November before doubling up in a match event at Haydock in March. Didn't seem to relish the increased test of stamina when 1¼ lengths second of 4 to Apple Away in listed chase at Perth (3m, good to soft) but is respected on return.
Dual 2m chase winner at Ayr in 2024/25. Ended his time with Nick Alexander below par but much better signs for new yard with third of 9 in handicap chase back at Ayr (2½m, soft) in April, faring best of those held up. Shaped as if he'd come on for his recent comeback run at Perth.
Winless since scoring at Kelso back in October 2023 but rarely finishes out of the frame, including when repeating his second in last year's renewal of Highland National at Perth (31f, good) in April. Not quite in the same form there the following month and others make more appeal for win purposes.
Successful 5 times at Cartmel (all at 21f), scoring twice from first 3 starts this season. Has continued in good heart with in-frame efforts on his last 3 outings, most recently when second of 5 in handicap chase at Carlisle (3m, good, 11/2) 15 days ago. Can go well again.

Forecasts
Ruby Island (7/4), Scarface (7/2), Sean Og (9/2), Hombre De Guerra (9/2), Busty Boy (15/2), The Other Mozzie (14/1)
SEAN OG is in good form and looks the most solid option here with race fitness on his side. The returning Ruby Island took well to chasing last year and is also considered, with Hombre de Guerra appealing as likely to come on from his yard debut.
