€19,000 3-y-o, Blue Bresil gelding. Dam, fairly useful 2m-19f hurdle/chase winner and also a 2m scorer on Flat, is a half-sister to useful hurdler/chaser (stayed 3¼m) Some Invitation. One to consider for his in-form stable.
Passing Glance gelding. Dam, fair 2¾m-31f hurdle/chase winner, is closely related to useful hurdler/chaser (stayed 29f) Rons Dream and half-sister to smart chaser (stayed 3m) Fistral Beach. Not out of things on his first run, especially if the market vibes are positive.
€95,000 3-y-o, Poet's Word gelding. Half-brother to 19f bumper winner Blacksmiths Forge. Dam unraced sister to fairly useful hurdler (stayed 23f) Corinto. Wears hood. Fourth in an Irish point in March. Yard has a good record in this so he rates an interesting debutant.
£35,000 3-y-o, Prince Gibraltar gelding. Half-brother to fair hurdler/fairly useful chaser No Risk For You.
€25,000 3-y-o, £75,000 4-y-o, Kew Gardens gelding. Half-brother to bumper winner/fairly useful hurdler Mister Pessimistic. Runner-up sole outing in Irish points in April. Possibilities.
€38,000 3-y-o, Doyen gelding. Dam unraced half-sister to smart hurdler/high-class chaser (stayed 23f) Kalashnikov. Easy winner of sole start in Irish points in March and of obvious interest for top yard.
€16,000 3-y-o, 60,000 gns 4-y-o, Poet's Word gelding. Dam unraced. Fell sole start in Irish points in February.
€85,000 3-y-o, Walk In The Park gelding. Half-brother to fairly useful hurdler Grange Road. Dam unraced sister to bumper winner/fairly useful hurdler (stayed 21f) Presence of Mind. In good hands and very much one to consider on his debut.
€155,000 3-y-o, Walk In The Park gelding. Dam, useful bumper/2m-2¾m hurdle winner, is a half-sister to smart hurdler/chaser (stayed 21f) Don't Touch It. Noteworthy newcomer for leading stable.
Vadamos gelding. Closely related to poor hurdler Maid of The Night. Dam, lightly raced in bumpers/over hurdles, is closely related to high-class hurdler/top-class chaser (stayed 25f) Menorah. No forlorn hope starting out here.
€82,000 3-y-o, Maxios filly. Half-sister to bumper winner/fairly useful 2¼m/19f hurdle winner Supreme Malinas. Dam unraced half-sister to useful hurdler/smart chaser (stayed 25f) Imperial Alcazar. Another debutant to consider, especially if the betting speaks in her favour.
Forecasts
Newgrove (10/3), Treble Three (7/2), Geissler (6/1), Twin Horns (15/2), Radiant Walk (15/2), Brazilian Blue (10/1), Cheerio For Now (10/1), Mister Realistic (12/1), Vernon (14/1), Hector Le Prince (20/1), Power Of Authority (33/1)
No form to go on but lots of potential in this closing bumper and the market should reveal plenty. Dan Skelton's Doyen gelding NEWGROVE was an impressive winner on his only run in an Irish point in the spring and gets the nod over Geissler who hails from a yard with a good record in this event. Treble Three and Radiant Walk are also in excellent hands and need factoring in, too.
