Likeable handicapper. Chased home Wellington Arch at Aintree (2½m) prior to deservedly ending a 2-year losing sequence over the same C&D in May. Well beaten in the Silver Trophy for the second consecutive year on return last month and may again come good later in the season.
Proved at least as good as ever last season. Won at Bangor prior to finishing runner-up in stronger events here and at Aintree. Looked to retain all his ability when 7¾-length third in a seniors handicap on return at Chepstow. Hasn't won off a mark this high but claims under good-value claimer.
Borderline useful hurdler for Gavin Cromwell. Well below that level over fences and failed to revive for the return to hurdles on first run for current stable at Fontwell (19f, 150/1) 12 days ago.
Strong-looking front runner. Finished second in the Dovecote prior to going one better in a Newbury novice in March. Plenty of encouragement when hitting the frame in big-field handicaps since, latterly 7½-length fourth in a quality Silver Trophy on return. Looks very interesting in calmer waters.
Made a winning return here (2m) prior to landing in a small-field event at Sandown last November. Belatedly matched that form (without looking entirely straightforward) when close third at Wincanton in April. Goes well fresh and top yard 6 wins from last 17 Plumpton runners.
Back to form when gamely winning a senior handicap at Sandown in January. Possibly still feeling those exertions when lit up in first-time cheekpieces at Ascot. Prominent in the betting previous 2 seasonal reappearances (fell both times over fences) and yard again appears in good early-season form.
Quirky sort who can need plenty of coaxing. Enhanced fine record here (form figures of 21113) with a brace of C&D wins last season. Weak in the market/needed the run in a conditional jockeys handicap on return. This a logical early-season target, however, Kocktail Bleu likely stable first string.
Fairly useful bumper winner. Successful on 2 of his 4 hurdle starts last season, notching a second C&D success in a novice handicap (under this claimer) in April. Needs more again if he's to maintain his unbeaten course record in much deeper company.
Smooth traveller. Fairly useful effort to complete a hat-trick on handicap bow/reappearance in 2025 renewal of this race (now 3 lb higher). Perhaps not the easiest to keep sound, his below-par chasing debut in March only a third run of the season. Thereabouts again in fit and well back hurdling.
Fairly useful hurdler in France prior to finishing mid-field in the Fred Winter on stable debut. Matched his French form when beaten 4 lengths in a muddling juvenile hurdle before well held at Auteuil final start last season. Others better off at the weights here.
Winner of his last 2 hurdle starts over this trip in spring 2025. Advanced his form with some bold-jumping displays over fences last season. Reverts to hurdling (off 5 lb lower mark) in a change of headgear, following an unpromising return at Market Rasen last month. May well still need the run.
Won 4 summer handicap hurdles on the bounce in 2025. Another fruitful spell when completing a quick-fire Flat hat-trick in July of this year. Jumped much better under an attacking ride when runner-up here (2m) last time. Back up in trip and may not get his own way in a more competitive affair.
Irish raider from shrewd stable. Doubled his tally when a wide-margin winner of a big-field Cork handicap last time. In much better race off 16 lb higher mark, however, it's certainly significant that he's been sent over (yard 1 from 2 with previous runners here in 2022). First-time tongue strap on.

Forecasts
Let Him B (9/4), Maldini Milano (9/2), Kocktail Bleu (7/1), Sixty Plus (7/1), Stream Of Stars (10/1), Walk On High (12/1), Scorsese (14/1), Nardaran (14/1), Ike Sport (16/1), Range (16/1), Bandjo (16/1), Goodwin (25/1), Tonaghneave Well (66/1)
KOCKTAIL BLEU could be the one to beat following his encouraging fourth in a loaded renewal of the Silver Trophy on return. Sam Thomas typically looks to have his string in good early-season form, which may well bring Range into the mix, while Nardaran and Stream Of Stars also merit consideration in a competitive renewal.
