Fairly useful middle-distance winner for Karl Burke. Much improved when ½-length second on handicap hurdle bow at Southwell in May. Went with more fluency when 7½-length third in a solid C&D event (second won since) on return. In excellent hands and has leading claims to open his hurdle account.

Capitalised on career-low mark when narrowly winning a weak Newton Abbot handicap on return in June (17f). Never landed a blow in a bigger field event there (2¼m) the following month. Veteran may again find this too competitive on return.

Regressive sort who blotted his copybook by refusing to race at Cartmel in late-August.

Ran out 2 from home (length in front at time) in 3-runner race at Newton Abbot hurdling debut in June. No-show at bigger prices either start since. Should at least benefit from switch to low-grade handicap, for all he's 3 lb out of the weights.

Looks of little account and again races from out of the handicap on return.
