Fairly useful bumper winner who came good over hurdles in 2m Worcester maiden in May 2025 but hasn't been seen since. With a leading stable but the betting is perhaps the best guide to expectations on handicap debut after such a long time off.

Bagged a pair of soft-ground hurdle wins at Cagnes-sur-Mer for Mathieu Pitart last winter. Too headstrong for his own good in handicap hurdles for Ben Pauling in the spring and Dan Skelton is quick to equip him with a hood. All the more interesting if backed.
Runner-up on first of 2 outings in bumpers and fair form over hurdles, winning 17f Exeter handicap (good) when last seen in April. Low mileage and could easily have more to offer this season.
Fair bumper winner who cemented the positive start made over hurdles during the winter when knuckling down well for success in maiden at Chepstow in February. Something can't have been right when pulled up on Hexham handicap debut in May. Off since.
Much improved to win his first 2 handicap hurdles at around 2½m at the beginning of 2026. Signed off with a below-par fifth at Exeter (2¾m) in March. Went in snatches on that occasion and cheekpieces are reached for on return. Down in trip.
Showed promise for Chris Down in 2024/25 season, winning 17f Exeter maiden on final start. Has a 20-month absence to overcome on his first outing for Chris Honour but retains unexposed potential and interesting to see what the betting makes of him.
Warwick maiden hurdle winner for Barry Brennan in April 2025. Not seen since second on Worcester chase debut a month later but he has gone well after an absence before and has been the subject of a significant stable switch. Might be worth chancing.
Irish point winner who showed more than previously over hurdles when third in a Sedgefield maiden (2½m) in February. Hasn't reproduced that level in his 2 handicaps since, although he likely needed his recent Chepstow reappearance after 7 months off.

Forecasts
Western Cross (10/3), Marhaba Prince (7/2), Sioux Falls (9/2), All Well And Good (6/1), Paddockwood (8/1), Eton Mes (9/1), In Limbo (10/1), Rock On Cowboy (16/1), General Briar (16/1)
In a trappy race a chance is taken on Fergal O'Brien's returning new recruit ROCK ON COWBOY, with confidence in his chance increased should the betting speak in his favour. Western Cross is a lightly-raced type who could have more to offer this season and is next on the list. Dan Skelton's new recruit Paddockwood would also firmly enter calculations should the market vibes be strong.
