Successful on second of 2 starts in bumpers and didn't need to improve on previous hurdling form to get off the mark in 19f Warwick maiden (soft) in February. Seemed to find 23f too much on handicap debut soon after but a likely improver on reappearance now chasing.
Got back on the up after breathing surgery when landing 12-runner handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter (23f, good to soft). Winning pointer and took pretty well to fences until losing his action at Cheltenham in April 2025. Has taken a while to get back to the track.
Lightly raced but much more like it with a pair of handicap wins over hurdles last winter. Fitted with cheekpieces and found to be lame after Punchestown run in April. Makes chase debut for his leading yard.
Dual hurdles winner last season who got back on track to an extent when third of 7 in a handicap at Sedgefield on Boxing Day, though again didn't see things out especially well despite a first-time tongue tie being applied. Unseated rider on chase debut in February.
Fairly useful bumper winner who wasn't far off that level over hurdles last season, scoring twice including when landing the odds in mares novice at Fontwell (2¾m) in April. Has the pedigree and physique for chasing so she looks an interesting proposition.
Won all his 3 starts in 2023/24 and having not had things go his way following a long absence, he got back on the up when successful at Hereford in February. Whipped round and unseated rider at Plumpton in April and new yard quick to go chasing with him.
Pair of disappointing efforts after winning a maiden hurdle at Kelso (2m) in December but a breathing operation and a tongue strap had the desired effect when making a winning handicap debut at this track in April. Winning Irish pointer should have more to offer over larger obstacles.
Irish point winner who scored twice in staying handicap hurdles last season and was going the right way in the spring. Should make his mark over fences at some point but like recent Worcester run, he looks the stable second string.
Progressive hurdler who left behind previous chase form when runner-up to one who'd controlled the pace at Sandown in March. Quickly back into his shell at Kelso soon after and off since but yard had a welcome winner on Sunday.
A fair winner on the Flat and over hurdles in France in 2024. Looked to be getting act together over hurdles for this yard during the winter but many from this yard need the run at this time of year. Chase debut.
Point winner who showed clear signs of ability for Paul Nolan in Ireland. On the up for new yard last season, leaving disappointing reappearance well behind with back-to-back handicap wins. Backward step at Wetherby and this will reveal more on second chase start
Overcame some rather suspect jumping to gain a deserved success in 8-runner maiden hurdle at Plumpton in March. Matched that form when second here soon after but will need to show the larger obstacles more respect.
Put his tame finishes behind him following a breathing operation when winning 10-runner handicap here (2½m, good) in March. Heavy defeat at Perth and has had surgery again ahead of chasing debut.
Irish point winner who was placed on his first 4 runs since sent hurdling last season. Didn't finish off his race with much purpose at Newbury in March but type to do better over fences and yard is in good order.

Forecasts
Just Golden (5/1), They Want Me (11/2), Strong Run (6/1), Sign Again (8/1), Laughing John (8/1), Escort'kheops (10/1), Col Du Pre' (12/1), Glen Road (12/1), Jhentong Enki (12/1), Kel Du Large (14/1), Douglas Hyde (14/1), Top Guy (16/1), Mahland (20/1), Joeybottles (20/1)
Plenty of depth to this handicap with chase debutants STRONG RUN, Just Golden and Douglas Hyde all expected to rate higher this season. Without the benefit of market clues they are preferred in that order.
