Made all for back-to-back wins at Catterick in October and returned with 2 good placed efforts this spring. However, faced competition for the lead and ran below form when third of 4 back at Catterick last month.
Ex-Richard Hannon gelding who has been shaping up well without winning for his new yard this season, beaten by only a short head at Carlisle 10 days ago. One to take very seriously.
Smart form at best in France. Lost his way last year but has shaped as if building up to something for current yard this season, never-nearer fourth of 11 at Musselburgh earlier this month. Let down by a slow start at Carlisle, but he's eased further in the weights as result.
Back-to-back winner last year and has proved as good as ever this season with 3 runner-up finishes, again bumping into an improver in 9-runner event at Nottingham in June. However, after 9 weeks off he ran no sort of race at Hamilton 18 days ago.
Gained a first handicap success at Pontefract (1m) in April. Hasn't been in the same form both subsequent outings, though, weakening out of things quickly when down the field at Newcastle 5 weeks ago.
Won twice at Carlisle in September last year. Encouraging third at Haydock on second start this season but below form in 3 outings since, sixth of 11 at Musselburgh 22 days ago. Has dropped below last winning mark with claimer also on board.
Fair form in Ireland for M. D. O'Callaghan and ran well on stable debut when second of 6 at Doncaster early this month. In cheekpieces (now discarded), shaped as if needing a stronger gallop when fifth of 8 at Thirsk 15 days ago. Still looking for a breakthrough success, though.
Had gone close several times before finally getting off the mark in handicap at Ayr 3 weeks ago. Back up in grade but could go well now that he's up and running.

Son (11/4), One Night Thunder (11/4), The Sweet Escape (3/1), Supreme Clarets (10/3), Misunderstood (4/1), Highland Shah (11/2), Glenfinnan (6/1), Obelix (10/1), Zowal (11/1), Swift Salian (12/1), Mudamer (20/1), Arduis Invicta (25/1), Shadow Run (28/1)
Having dropped a long way in the weights, SON came very close to cashing in at Carlisle 10 days ago, so he could be the answer. Highland Shah isn't yet exposed and he looks a big threat, with Supreme Clarets also of some interest.
