Horse A-Z
Prince Gibraltar gelding. Half-brother to numerous winners, including French hurdlers Mondieu and Elfy James. Dam, 1m winner in France, sister to useful hurdler (stayed 3m) Jorobaden. Yard capable of readying a newcomer, so would enter calculations if supported in the betting.
Timeform
Walk In The Park gelding. Closely related to smart hurdler/useful chaser Guard Your Dreams, stays 3m, and useful hurdler/chase winner Carys' Commodity. Very much one to note on debut.

£16,000 3-y-o, £40,000 5-y-o, Hillstar gelding. Dam, ran twice in bumpers, half-sister to smart hurdler (stayed 2½m) Ch'tibello. Off mark in points at second attempt in March and has joined a leading yard subsequently.
Timeform
Choeur Du Nord gelding. Half-brother to French chasers Canaille de Nonant and Leandro Nonantais. Dam unraced half-sister to French hurdler/chaser (winner around 2m) Chudamani. Noteworthy newcomer for a yard that does very well in bumpers.
Timeform
£20,000 3-y-o, Bande gelding. Half-brother to numerous winners, including useful 2m/19f hurdle winner Good Ball and fair hurdler/chase winner Moonball. Of obvious interest on debut for top yard.
Timeform
Geordieland gelding who is bred more for stamina than speed and was too green to do himself justice when a well-held third at Exeter on debut last month.
|
Timeform
Joshua Tree gelding who offered little when eighth of 11 in bumper (11/1) at Hereford (2m, good) on debut last month. Will need to leave that initial effort well behind to play a leading role.

€12,000 3-y-o, Kapgarde gelding. Dam, French hurdler/chaser (17f winner), half-sister to fairly useful hurdler/chaser (stayed 3¼m) Pacha d'Oudairies. Unplaced sole start in point bumpers (Apr 19).
Timeform
€50,000 3-y-o, Bathyrhon gelding. Half-brother to fairly useful hurdler Ip Up, stays 2½m. Yard sent out an impressive debut winner at Warwick the other day, so strong market support would look significant.
Timeform
€24,000 3-y-o, Saddex gelding. Half-brother to fair hurdler/fairly useful chaser Quick Sharpener. Dam, unraced, out of half-sister to useful staying chasers Boychuk and Golden Chieftain. Market for clues.

Mahler gelding who showed only greenness in a C&D bumper on debut in March. Probably needs more time.

Forecasts

Red One (3/1), Short Sell (7/2), Cameron De Fiacre (6/1), Dernier Set (13/2), Norff N Sauff (8/1), Horethorne (12/1), Roy's Jules (14/1), Mysterland (14/1), Lord Forlife (16/1), My Lady D'ex (20/1), Meli Melo D'angos (25/1), Murphy D'oudairies (25/1)

Verdict

An interesting bumper featuring some well-bred types from leading stables. RED ONE is closely related to a smart sort and could be up to making a winning start for his top trainer. Dernier Set, Short Sell and Cameron de Fiacre are also interesting on paper and warrant close market attention.
