Won sole start in British points but was very green and well held in Fairyhouse bumper on debut in November.

Vadamos gelding who showed plenty starting out in a hood and tongue strap combination when second to subsequent Champion Bumper winner The Mourne Rambler at Leopardstown (2m) in December. Should stay this longer trip and has to be considered the one to beat.

Timeform
Falco gelding who exceeded expectations to some tune (66/1) when third in 9-runner bumper at Clonmel (2½m, soft) on last month's debut. Remains to be seen if he's able to build on that.

Wings of Eagles gelding. Half-brother to bumper winner/fairly useful hurdler Ballymountain Boy, stayed 3m. Looked one for the longer term when finishing down the field at Down Royal on his debut in December.

Has shaped with some promise in a Leopardstown maiden hurdle and when third of 16 in a Cork bumper (19f). Needs more for win purposes, however.

Successful on sole outing in points (beat a good prospect) but hasn't quite lived up to market expectations on both bumper starts, going in snatches when third of 4 at this course (2m) on most recent outing. Up in trip.

Jukebox Jury gelding who made an unpromising start to his career when beating only one home in a bumper at Down Royal (17f) on Boxing Day. Has left C. Moore.
|
Timeform
Soldier of Fortune gelding who ran to a fair level when third of 11 in bumper at this course 2½ years ago on sole outing for R. P. Cody. Since transferred to Willie Mullins and promises to be suited by the longer trip on pedigree.

Timeform
Dual point winner who showed plenty to work on behind a promising one at Naas on bumper debut (19f) in January. Again shaped promisingly sent hurdling in a first-time tongue strap when third of 25 at Fairyhouse (2½m) 9 weeks later and has solid each-way claims back in this code.

Walk In The Park gelding. Brother to fair 21f hurdle winner Dramatic Encore. Dam (h132), bumper/2m hurdle winner, half-sister to smart hurdler/chaser who later became temperamental Bright New Dawn (stayed 3m). Third on first of 2 starts in points but last of 4 finishers on latest.

€110,000 3-y-o, Walk In The Park gelding. Closely related to useful 2m hurdle winner Sporting Glory, stays 25f, and half-brother to 2 winners, including useful chaser The Flier Begley. Runner-up on last of 3 starts in points and the market should offer up some clues ahead of this switch to Rules.

Improved appreciably on his debut form when second of 9 in bumper at Leopardstown (2½m, good) in December. Left Brian M. McMahon after and matched that form when filling same spot at Limerick 4 months later.

A 6-figure store from a very good jumping family who showed promise setting out in a tongue strap (already had a breathing operation too) when fourth of 9 at Wetherby in February last year. Raced freely when well beaten at this meeting on only outing since. Has left Fergal O'Brien.

Walk In The Park gelding who has shaped with plenty of promise on both bumper outings, including when third to subsequent Champion Bumper winner The Mourne Rambler at Leopardstown (2m) on latest start. Has a bit of ground to make up with Cityofblindinlites but big chance otherwise.

Went with no encouragement in a maiden hurdle at Gowran on debut in November. Upped in trip and fitted with a first-time hood on this switch to a bumper.
|
Timeform
£185,000 purchase after easily landed sole outing in points and shaped encouragingly under a positive ride when second of 12 in 2m Thurles bumper in February. Not quite in same form when ridden with more restraint in a similar event there the following month.

Austrian School gelding. Dam unraced half-sister to useful hurdler/chaser (stayed 3¼m) Bally Longford.
|

Little promise in a trio of starts in this sphere prior to unseating her rider early on her Tramore hurdling debut.

Crystal Ocean mare. Half-sister to numerous winners, including smart hurdler/top-class chaser Don Poli and smart hurdler/useful chaser Debece. Appeals on paper so well worth a market check.

Steady progress in 4 runs last year, albeit possibly flattered in a steadily-run listed event at Gowran when last seen. Up against it.

Cityofblindinlites (11/8), Largy Star (9/2), Heldam (9/2), Premier Division (11/2), Thinkitdontjinxit (11/1), Gonewild (16/1), Killultagh Fox (16/1), Ladbroke Grove (16/1), Reckless (16/1), Muckanagh Lough (22/1), Ned Hill (25/1), Denham Rock (28/1), Holly's Thunder (40/1), Macdonagh Park (66/1), Muted Melody (100/1), Dark Eagle (100/1), Colwyn Bay (100/1), Lyrical Park (100/1), Jukebox Charlie (125/1), Ajp Falco (200/1), Rattledelatch (200/1), Tubberfinn Gordon (250/1), Delorean Dynamite (300/1)

Verdict

CITYOFBLINDINLITES was unlucky to bump into subsequent Champion Bumper winner The Mourne Rambler on his debut at Leopardstown in December and, with the longer trip likely to be within range, he looks the one to beat. Premier Division was only 2¼ lengths behind the selection in the aforementioned race and must be taken seriously, while Largy Star and Ladbroke Grove are others to consider.
