Shaped better than result when third of 4 on C&D chase debut on return from an absence in November. Hasn't built on that in 2 subsequent outings, although the drop to 21f didn't help at Hereford last time and he's respected back at Plumpton.

Modest winner over hurdles and came good at the fifth time of asking over fences in 3m Exeter mares handicap 14 days ago. Should remain competitive off 7 lb higher.

Has responded well to the fitting of cheekpieces, making it third time lucky over fences at Leicester (23f, soft) in February. Likely capable of even better for top stable, particularly now stepping back up in trip.
