Held back by headstrong tendencies earlier in his hurdling career but has raced more efficiently the last twice, putting up his best effort in handicaps when second of 9 over C&D (good to soft) last month. Nudged back up 2 lb but is getting the hang of things now.

Came good at the second time of asking in handicaps at Lingfield (23f, good) in November. Folded tamely 12 days later but back on song when scoring at Exeter (23f, soft) last month, a break working the oracle. Unlikely to have circumstances so favourable here so best taking him on.

Well held in bumpers but left previous efforts over hurdles behind switched to a handicap when second of 6 at Hereford in February, shaping like a stayer over a markedly longer trip. Booked for third when unseating back there a fortnight ago but this step up in trip rates a plus.

Two-time point winner made the frame in a novice and a maiden at Newton Abbot in summer 2024. Well beaten in point-to-points early last year though and failed to complete in a couple of Taunton handicaps in February. Cheekpieces are now added.

Placed in an Irish point. Tailed off in maiden/novice starts but left those efforts behind since sent handicapping, outstaying the stronger-travelling runner-up when getting off the mark in 8-runner handicap at Taunton (3m) just over 3 weeks ago. Fancied to follow up with better to come.

Strong-travelling sort who has run more good races than bad ones since undergoing a breathing operation early last year, most notably scoring at Exeter in November. Shaped as if better for the run after 9 weeks off recently and he's an each-way candidate reunited with Harry Cobden.

Finally opened his account in 7-runner handicap at Exeter back in October, seeing out the longer trip well. Seemed unsuited by conditions when attempting to follow up at Taunton 4 months later and now heads back up in distance (cheekpieces reapplied).

WALKINTHEPRESENT was very well suited by the emphasis on stamina when opening his account at Taunton last month and with further progress on the cards, Neil Mulholland's 6-y-o is fancied to follow up. It's A Breeze is getting his act together having learnt to race more efficiently so he heads up the dangers ahead of Square du Roule, who should come on from his recent Exeter effort.
