Age: 9|  Weight: 12-2| J: Nathan Moscrop| T: R Menzies| OR:  127
Strong-travelling sort who improved to land a double in soft/heavy ground chases around 3m at Catterick/Newcastle in 2024. Drop back in trip no issue for this belated hat-trick bid and interesting if market suggests he's firing on all cylinders following 23-month absence.

Big City Rollerp122
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-11| J: Lily Pinchin| T: C E Longsdon| OR:  122
Point/novice hurdle winner hasn't stood much racing but defied a significant absence to make a successful chase debut at Bangor (heavy) in February. Better than the result when fifth on comeback at Exeter last month and has definite claims if back to best in first-time cheekpieces.

Course winner chased home a now smart sort on reappearance at Stratford in October but has been let down by his jumping subsequently. Will need to improve on that front with headgear removed but has dropped below his last successful mark.

Prince Zaltar35
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-8| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton| OR:  119
Made a successful start over hurdles for Dan Skelton on soft ground at Newton Abbot in September and better than ever when third in a better handicap chase at Doncaster (3m) last month. Not in same form on good ground at Kempton since but should be seen to much better effect under these conditions.

Jasmin De Cotte14
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-0| J: C J Todd| T: D Skelton| OR:  111
Fairly useful winner of 2½m maiden chase in May 2024 for Paul Nolan (sole success from 14 starts under Rules in Ireland) and likely needed the run on stable debut following 12 weeks off/breathing operation. Back over fences but jockey bookings suggest he could be a longer-term project for new yard.

Age: 9|  Weight: 10-9| J: Callum Bewley| T: Micky Hammond| OR:  106| CD
Hit-and-miss type who was clearly perked up by first-time blinkers when landing 2½m handicap chase at Newcastle last month, running his best race for some time to capitalise on a reduced mark. Remains to be seen if blinkers have the same effect second time around.

Forecasts

Prince Zaltar (9/4), Cerendipity (7/2), Trac (4/1), Big City Roller (4/1), Twoshotsoftequila (11/2), Jasmin De Cotte (20/1)

Verdict

PRINCE ZALTAR has already mixed it in better company this season and the return to softer conditions can see him resume winning ways. Big City Roller (first-time cheekpieces) is very lightly-raced for his age and would be interesting if building on a creditable comeback at Exeter, while Twoshotsoftequila is worth noting if the betting suggests he's ready to roll for his belated hat-trick bid.
