Ended last term with 3m success at Chepstow and resumed with a very good second of 9 in handicap at Warwick (25f, soft) in November. Subsequent third at the same venue on New Year's Eve wasn't so good but, at the same time, it wasn't a bad effort and this stiff track will play to her strengths.

Ex-Irish mare who is thriving for her current yard, scoring over hurdles at Market Rasen and Ludlow before an excellent second back chasing at Huntingdon (23.6f, soft) on penultimate start. Resumes in this sphere falling a heavy fall at Fakenham and current mark probably sums her up.

Returned to form with first-time tongue strap enlisted at Doncaster (24.4f, soft) where she made all and battle well to hold on in the closing stages. Hard to be confident that she'll build on that given her hit-and-miss profile but 5 lb rise fair enough and she's unexposed as a stayer.

Placed several times in handicaps for previous stable and made the most of a good opportunity when taking Warwick maiden hurdle (21f, good to firm) on debut for new yard in October. Didn't jump at all well tried over fences for the second time at Uttoxeter since and better expected back hurdling.

Dual winner in spring 2024 for Robbie Llewellyn and got the job done at the fifth attempt for present yard at Fontwell last March. Placed on 2 of her 3 starts so far this season and while more will be needed if she's to emerge on top here, this 9-y-o should make her presence felt.

Forecasts

Keppel Queen (9/4), Either Or (5/2), Getaway Theatre (7/2), Pipers Cross (9/2), Tankardstown Diva (7/1)

Verdict

Presumably any aspirations held for KEPPEL QUEEN as a chaser have been abandoned following her display on New Year's Eve at Uttoxeter where her jumping was ponderous at best having not got far on her sole previous run over fences last year. Conversely, she did the job well starting out for the Olly Murphy yard in this sphere at Warwick during the autumn and this mark should be within reach. There isn't much to choose between the others, with Getaway Theatre feared most ahead of Either Or.
