Three novice hurdle wins last season and improved immediately for switch to this sphere when landing a maiden at Worcester (20f) in October. Follow-up Cheltenham victory owed a lot to his rider's perseverance in November and he'll need to get into a better rhythm here.
Useful hurdler who ran his best race on form when jumping boldly to land the Esher Novice Chase at Exeter (24.3f) in November. Better than bare result when second in Sandown Grade 2 over 3m since and his accurate jumping will continue to stand him in good stead.
Never stronger than at the finish when landing EBF Final over hurdles at Sandown (19.8f) in March. Successful in a match at Uttoxeter on return/chase debut at Uttoxeter (3m) in October prior to a lacklustre display in Sandown Grade 2 5 weeks ago. More required.
Above-average novice hurdler who ran to a useful level when easily taking 4-runner 3m novices' handicap chase at Doncaster on return in November. Found himself outpaced late by speedier rival in a match back there 4 weeks ago and a more conventionally run race promises to see him in a better light.
1-2 over hurdles and he made a big splash when successful on handicap chase debut at Carlisle (20.9f) in November, impressing with how he jumped/travelled. Didn't look so potent back left-handed when fourth at Cheltenham (25.2f) since and no doubting he remains potentially smart.
Dual bumper winner and successful 3 of 5 starts over hurdles last term, notably Gr. 2 mares' novice at Sandown (19.8f). Faced stiff task on return/chase debut at Carlisle and quickly back to winning ways in 3-runner mares' novice at Exeter (17.5f). This much more demanding now upped to 3m, though.

Forecasts
Wade Out (2/1), Moon Rocket (5/2), Doyen Quest (4/1), Laurens Bay (15/2), The Jukebox Kid (8/1), Hollygrove Cha Cha (12/1)
This looks wide open but 6-y-o MOON ROCKET wasn't seen to best effect in a match at Doncaster 4 weeks ago and he shades preference with a more conventionally run race set to see him to much better effect now. Doyen Quest boasts more chasing experience than most and with his jumping an asset he's a threat. The Jukebox Kid and Wade Out rate next best.
