Multiple point winner who shaped better than result when fifth in 3m Exeter handicap chase on yard debut in November. Refused on penultimate start but looked set to score before falling at the last at Taunton (23f, good to firm) recently and he's a big player off the same mark (due to go up 6 lb).

More miss than hit overall, often finding little. However, he was on a going day when emerging on top inb an 8-runner handicap here (15.8f, good to soft) last time and, with this step back up in trip unlikely to be an issue, he needs considering up 5 lb.

Pretty reliable on the whole over fences, taking record in this sphere to 5-27 when getting on top in the shadow of the post at Wincanton (20.2f, good to soft) a fortnight ago. Remains feasibly treated up 2 lb and likely to be in the thick of things once again.

Runner-up in a bumper but made little impact in half-a-dozen attempts over hurdles and he's hard to warm to now switched to fences.

Promise in maiden hurdles in 2023 but form tailed off last season (including in this sphere) and recent effort in a Leicester selling hurdle was hardly encouraging.

He will take some stopping granted a clear round here, though the fact that he refused to race on penultimate start at Hereford means that there is a caveat. Last-time-out scorers Begin The Luck and Flash In The Park can fill the places.
