Bravemansgame³²

Age: 5| Weight: 11-7| J: Harry Cobden| T: P F Nicholls| OR: 143| CD

5/2

Runner-up on hurdles debut and impressive winner of his 2 subsequent starts, latterly over this C&D. In much deeper now, but he's clearly a smart prospect and may well have a leading role to play.

Form: 1/36-211

Does He Know⁴⁶

Age: 5| Weight: 11-7| J: David Bass| T: K Bailey & M Nicholls| OR: 143| D

6/1

Point winner who continues to progress with experience, completing the hat-trick in a Cheltenham Grade 2 (21f) last month. Likely he has more to offer and another bold show on the cards.

Form: 1/22-111

Star Gate²⁵

Age: 4| Weight: 11-7| J: Adam Wedge| T: Evan Williams| OR: 147

5/2

Bought for £140,000 after winning sole start between the flags and made it 2-2 under Rules when landing a 3-runner Sandown Grade 2 in good style. Exciting prospect and should be firmly in the mix.

Form: 1-11

Wilde About Oscar⁵²

Age: 5| Weight: 11-7| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton

7/2

Did well in bumpers last season and has won his novice hurdles at Uttoxeter (2m) and Aintree (2½m) with minimum fuss. This is a much tougher assignment, but he's certainly not short of potential.

Form: 214-11

The Glancing Queen⁴¹

Age: 6| Weight: 11-0| J: Tom Cannon| T: A King| D

6/1

Useful bumper performer and bright start to hurdles career when landing a 21f mares' novice at Warwick. Hard to rate that form too highly, but she did it well and is open to significant improvement.

Form: 1351/8-1

Non-Runners

Enfant Roi³⁰

Weight: 11-7| Age: 6

T: Mrs S Leech J: Adrian Heskin

Forecasts

Bravemansgame (5/2), Star Gate (5/2), Wilde About Oscar (7/2), The Glancing Queen (6/1), Does He Know (6/1), Enfant Roi (100/1)

Armed with significant potential and a handy mares' allowance, THE GLANCING QUEEN could be the answer to a fascinating renewal of this prestigious race. Borderline smart in bumpers, she looked good when making a winning hurdles debut at Warwick and earns the vote ahead of fellow highly promising novices Star Gate and Bravemansgame.
