11/2 for recent good ground debut at Haydock and done some pleasing work in the closing stages to finish just over 2L third of 10. Tongue-tie worn then kept on and normal improvement will see him go close over extra furlong.
Similar level of form in two maidens at 1m over turf, then AW after his debut last season. Was withdrawn from intended comeback run 10 days ago so has been ready to go for a while and probably just about sets the standard.
Fourth foal of dam who won up to 1m4f and stayed further. Half-sister Carol won her maiden at this track over 1m. Market should reveal more but yards runners tend to need the experience.
£380,000 sixth foal. Dam stayed really well and has produced three winners over 1m4f. Bred to appreciate a bit further but not overfaced on belated debut so no surprise should he play a leading role.
Seventh foal. Half-brother to a winner in France and America at this trip and the dam won from 6f to 1m1f. Makes appeal on paper for a stable who can ready then first time up.
€60,000 yearling. Fifth foal and related to three winners. On breeding makes debut at what looks an ideal trip and market should tell us more.
Forecasts
Al Qaasim (6/4), Campari (7/2), Secret Moment (4/1), Mahanakhon Power (11/2), Helvezia (10/1), Emperor Alley (20/1), Peat Moss (200/1)
Tricky contest with little to choose between the main pair with experience and some newcomers from good yards so the betting should reveal more, but narrow preference is for CAMPARI over Al Qaasim. Secret Moment can go well on belated debut but this is a race where the market has to be monitored.
