- Weatherbys Racing Bank Chase (Novices' Limited Handicap) (Class 3)
- 2m 3f 189y, Soft (Good to Soft in places)
- 6 Runners
- Surface: Turf
Sole finisher in a three runner 3m beginners chase at Fakenham (good) in November and ran well when 8L second to a useful looking rival over an extended 3m1f at Cheltenham (good-to-soft) subsequently. Strong claims on handicap debut.
Well beaten a 2m novices' handicap hurdle at Sandown (good) in April last year when last in action. Worth a check in the market for a leading stable on handicap and seasonal debut.
Faller over an extended 2m6f at Newbury (good-to-soft) at the end of November and more needed than when finishing 22L fourth over the same trip at Uttoxeter (soft) the previous month.
Placed on each of his last three starts over fences including when 9½L third over an extended 2m4f at Kempton (soft) last time out. One to note racing off a 1lb lower mark in this contest.
Beaten 5¼L when sixth in a seven runner novices' handicap chae over an extended 2m6f at Leicester (good-to-soft) on seasonal debut last month. Races off the same mark here and is interesting dropping in distance.
Dual hurdles winner but has made just six appearances since winning over an extended 2m3f at Chepstow (good-to-firm) in April 2016. Market support would be notable on chase debut following nearly a year off the track.
