Prolific when joining this yard and while a little inconsistent in recent times, he was an impressive game winner of the Champion Stayers' Hurdle at Punchestown when last seen. Needed the run on return last year but overall record fresh reads well.
Took his form to a new level when winning a Grade 3 at Sandown last season. Ground will suit here and it was a respectable effort in the Aintree Stayers' Hurdle last time out, though conceding weight to all but one won't be easy.
At his best with plenty of cut in the ground, as seen when third at the Festival last year and shaped like he needed the run when sixth of 16 in a promising reappearance run at Chepstow last time out. Has shaped like this trip will suit at times.
Won the four-mile amateur race over fences at the Festival when last seen. Interesting back over hurdles but conceivably a prep run for the Ladbrokes Trophy later in the month.
Course winner here last season and signed off with a handicap success at Carlisle in February. Gave the impression he would come on for the run here on reappearance but has plenty to find at this level.
Listed Handicap Chase winner at Ayr at the end of the 2016/17 season but only seen once since and a 735 day absence to overcome is off-putting in a race this competitive.
Forecasts
Ballyandy (11/8), The Worlds End (7/2), Unowhatimeanharry (7/2), Le Breuil (7/1), Lord Napier (12/1), Two Taffs (20/1), Teescomponents Lad (50/1)
Unowhatimeanharry has a fair record fresh and he showed he still has what it takes at the top level at Punchestown when last seen but with the benefit of a prep run, BALLYANDY makes most appeal. He receives weight from two of his main rivals and his yard have kicked off the season in fair form. Lord Napier is still unexposed and may be capable of better this season.
