Won on the Polytrack at Kempton last month but held over a slightly longer trip last time out. Nudged down 1lb and positive that he's been in good heart of late. However, he's 0-15 on turf and top weight does him no favours on the predicted going.
Yard's strike-rate at this course is enviable and this fellow pitched in by winning the first of his two previous starts over C&D. However, his latest outing was a poor performance in a seller last month; stiff test now back in a handicap.
Still chasing an elusive first career win but was suited by the return to turf at Bath last month and not much to find in this company if able to better that effort; on a lenient looking mark. and certainly worth a betting check.
Mixed form since joining Roger Teal but on a very handy mark and no surprise to see him competitive now in cheekpieces with ground to suit; worth noting in the betting on debut run at Brighton, a course renowned for revitalising wily characters.
Came good for Sir Mark Prescott in a selling handicap over C&D last month; bought for £5,500 after justifying favouritism with a 4L win; up 8lb and more on in this company. (Never raced on ground worse than good to firm on turf.)
Goes well here but his losing sequence is starting to mount up and the ground is a concern as he'd mainly raced on firm going for the best part of year until flopping last time out (1m2f, good to soft) over C&D.
Near miss in a seller at Leicester nine days ago was his best effort for a while; he's dangerously well handicapped as a result but is yet to put together back-to-back notable performances since he was gelded earlier this year.
Never a factor here last month on his return from a 104-day break but might just have needed the run. However, his record of one win (7f, good to soft, at this course) from 25 previous starts is hardly inspiring. The trip is also a concern.
Was second behind Ramatuelle in a selling handicap last month but there's a good chance of reversing the form as he was giving a lot of weight away that day. He's already won at Brighton (1m4f) this season and is worth another try at the trip.
Regressive when with Richard Fahey and not much to take from either start for his new yard so far; missed the best part of two years before his return in September and still looked ring rusty at Wolverhampton a fortnight ago. (Out of the weights.)
No wins so far and only the occasion glimmer that he's got what it takes to get his head in front and stay there. Out of the handicap and very hard to fancy on these terms given his overall patchy record of 0-6 on turf (0-19 overall).
Both previous wins on turf came at this course but there's a lot of water under the bridge since then and her decline has been the only steady attribute since the mare's last win on the AW (in October 2017). Hard to fancy.
Lightly raced but posted underwhelming form up to press and not hard to omit form the betting plans as the filly is set to have her first start after wind surgery.
Stablemate of Luxford and it's hard to say which has the least obvious chance; the filly did make some late gains on her handicap debut at Chepstow in August but she needs dramatic improvement here. (Races from just out of the handicap.)
