- Whissendine Selling Stakes (Class 5)
- 11 Runners
- Surface: Turf
Sole win in 23 starts came in a 6f claimer at Maisons-Laffitte (very soft) last October; hasn't shown a great deal to enthuse over since finishing third at Bath (5½f, good to firm) in May.
€70,000 yearling; soundly beaten on both starts to date (6f-7f); worryingly drops into a seller for his third racecourse visit.
With this trainer when finishing a fair fourth (beaten approx 4L) to Almurr at Newbury (6f, good to firm) in July; disappointing elsewhere since - hasn't beaten a single rival in three runs for Charlie Wallis (5f-6f); newly hooded.
Ten-race maiden; beaten 1¾L by Al Suil Eile in a C&D seller (good to firm) on his penultimate start; weakened on heavy ground back here in a stronger contest latest; visor now applied.
Made most when a decisive 4L Pontefract winner on debut (6f, good to firm); has faced sterner opposition since, albeit hasn't progressed; ground an unknown factor dropped into a seller on return from a 374-day absence.
Nine-race maiden; was performing to a broadly similar standard until disappointing (9-2jtf) on the AW at Chelmsford (1m) three weeks ago; finished last of six on sole previous attempt on heavy ground (Carlisle).
A frustrating maiden (0-11); runner-up on five successive starts between May and July - twice a beaten odds-on favourite; that said, a repeat of his July Lingfield second to Quirky Gertie (7f, soft) could feasibly prove good enough.
Held on well towards the finish when taking a low-grade 6f handicap at Chepstow (soft) in May; well below that form since (0-4), including in a Windsor claimer (1m2f) latest; essentially risky.
Impressive when winning on debut at Carlisle (6f, soft) last September; kicked off the season reasonably well, although has been operating well below par since finishing third to Triple Distilled at York (7f, soft) in July; ease in grade is helpful.
Just held over 1m at Brighton (good to firm) on her penultimate start, although her overall career record (1-15) isn't the most enticing; placed on her sole start with cut in the ground at Newbury (7f, soft) in June.
Nine-race maiden; returns to action from a 129-day absence; one of her better runs came on heavy ground at Ayr (1m) last September when fifth of 11 to Iconic Choice; couldn't be discounted.
