Forecast

Make A Challenge (9/4), Downforce (9/4), Urban Beat (4/1), Flight Risk (5/1), Fairy Falcon (14/1), Independent Missy (14/1), All The King's Men (14/1), Romantic Proposal (16/1), Rhydwyn (25/1), Zodiacus (66/1)

Verdict

The Fast Company gelding DOWNFORCE would not have to improve much on his second of seven beaten 1¼L in the Group 3 Renaissance stakes over C&D last month to land the spoils going down a level in this contest. Nearest dangers should come in the shape of 110-rated Flight Risk, a winner on his most recent start in a Listed contest at Cork in the middle of last month and the Denis Hogan-trained, Make A Challenge C&D winner in August. It would be folly to dismiss the Aidan O'Brien-trained All The King's Men and British raider Fairy Falcon while Romantic Proposal, given the record of the yard in this contest should be respected.
  1. Downforce
  2. Flight Risk
  3. All The King's Men
