Top-weight who has only won the one race over fences, but showed his wellbeing when successful over hurdles at Sligo (2m5f; yielding) last month. This intriguing Irish-raider should be monitored in the betting.

Posted another good run when runner-up at Newton Abbot (2m5f; good) in August. Front pair drew 11-length clear of the rest, so a 3lb rise doesn't seem harsh. Form of that has since been upgraded when the winner was narrowly beaten at Market Rasen.

Not so good the last twice, and he failed to beat a single rival at Worcester (2m; good) last month. Only 1lb above last winning mark, but looks to be going the wrong way at present. Has plenty to prove.

First run since May 2018, which was when he finished sixth of nine at Haydock (2m3f; good). Big absence to overcome, but market vibes should be monitored. Potentially well treated off just a 1lb higher mark than the one he won off in March 2018.

Beaten 20-length into third off a 1lb higher at Warwick (2m4f; good to firm) last month. Not won over fences since January 2016, and he is subsequently on a very handy mark. Doesn't look like taking advantage of that at the moment though.

Enjoyed a fairly productive 2018/19 season scoring twice from four starts, before his season was cut short through injury in December. May need this first run back, but he is still unexposed, & there are more races to be won with him over fences.

This is his first run since March, and he doesn't have a great record when fresh. Suffered a heavy defeat when fourth at Uttoxeter (2m4f; good) then, but that may have been more to do with how he was off a 7lb higher mark & on different ground.

Should appreciate the slight drop back in trip after he was seemingly outstayed in the closing stages when fourth at Market Rasen (2m5f; good) last month. That was a good quality event, and he should remain competitive off the same mark.

Not seen since winning at Chepstow (2m3f; good) in April. Only 2lb higher than that victory, and yard are among the winners at the moment (5-17 in last 14 days). Not sure he goes well fresh though.

Recorded his second victory over fences at Worcester (2m; soft) last month when a three-quarter length victor. 5lb rise for that win seems fair, given the leading pair drew almost four-length clear of the third.

Forecasts

Keep Moving (7/2), Teaser (4/1), Cap St Vincent (6/1), Poker School (7/1), Field Exhibition (8/1), Royal Plaza (10/1), Dandridge (11/1), Adimelo (11/1), Cougar's Gold (12/1), Somchine (33/1)

Verdict

An open and competitive race in which the Irish representative Adimelo is one of the more interesting contenders, & it will be notable if the market speaks in his favour despite his unappealing record over fences. Field Exhibition is also considered after he only found the progressive As You Like too strong when runner-up at Newton Abbot recently. Confidence would be notably higher in Cap St Vincent if he wasn't returning from injury, given the progress he made in just four starts over fences last season. Therefore, the vote goes to TEASER, who is on a career high mark but ran better than his finishing position suggests when just collared for third last time out.
