Repaid part of his 150,000 gns price tag by taking a poor race over an extended 5f here last month, but proved that was no fluke when a creditable second of 8 to Across The Sea at Chelmsford last week. May yet do better now he's clicked.
Easy winner of a weak C&D handicap on penultimate start, and just a bit too free when third of 7 to Moretti over 7f here last time. Return to this trip should help him settle, and won't be far away.
Not disgraced on handicap bow at Lingfield in July, but he's not consistent, and followed that with a poor effort at Windsor. Has something to prove on form.
Looked much improved when winning off a 6lb lower mark at Doncaster in June, but didn't quite confirm that impression when only fourth of 10 to Chil Chil at Kempton last time, having left Lydia Pearce in the meantime. Too soon to write off.
Won here last year for Chris Dwyer, but has not made the same impact for a couple of different trainers since, although starts out for another new yard having left Nick Littmoden. Market will be useful.
Had lost his way, but took advantage of a big drop in the weights when landing an extended 5f handicap here last time for first turf win. Nothing to spare there, but remains well treated on the best of last year's form.

Quite an open race, but GLOBAL HOPE won easily over C&D two starts back, and will appreciate the return to this trip after racing freely over further lat time. Awsaaf was well beaten at Bath on Sunday, but that was a Class 2 contest, so he's got every chance of bouncing straight back in this weaker race. Victory Rose couldn't confirm earlier impressions at Kempton last time, but should do better back on turf, and isn't written off.
