Point-to-point winner in March, purchased for £45,000 in April. Yard going well and have an 11% strike rate in bumpers, so looks one of the main players on paper.

Second foal, unfancied on debut at Newton Abbot but was getting the hang of it late. Has ground to make up with Malina Ocarina on that but should improve all the same.

Nice enough pedigree, dam placed 2m3f/2m6f hurdles, out of 2m4f bumper and hurdle winning half-sister to Listed 2m2f hurdle winner Blazing Sky. Yard rarely have runners in these events but are 1-2 last five seasons, and on that, is of some interest.

First start for this yard, placed in two point-to-points and is related to a couple of winners, but makes only minimal appeal for a yard 0-12 in bumpers.

Half-sister to the yard's useful 2m-2m4f hurdle/chase winner Party Rock, who liked a bit of cut. Outpaced on debut at Bangor but could fare better here. Watch market.

Eighth foal; sister to useful French hurdle/chase winner Summary, and a half-sister to three other winner. Looks the one to beat on her debut second at Ffos Las but yard possibly not in the best of form, and she's no good thing.

Beaten miles on debut at Doncaster last December and she can't possibly be entertained on that effort. Easy enough to look elsewhere.

From a top-class jumping family and she showed plenty on debut at Newton Abbot last month staying on nicely from the rear to finish a close third. Likely to improve and if handling this ground, has clear chances of going two better.

Wasn't the greatest of debuts at Hexham last month but the tongue-tie on here shows what the issue might have been. Yard have a 23% strike rate in these events and are always to be respected.

Forecast

Balladame (7/4), Bannixtown Glory (9/4), Malina Ocarina (4/1), Martha My Dear (8/1), Annebelle (14/1), Lady Bowes (20/1), Minella Beag (25/1), I'm Notapartygirl (25/1), Fazamour (66/1)

Verdict

Balladame looks the one to beat after her solid debut but the form of the yard is very patchy, and at a likely short price, may be worth taking on. Bannixtown Glory looks a perfectly suitable alternative for a yard going well, and that have winners in bumpers, and Martha My Dear may well do better after a moderate debut, but MALINA OCARINA was a major eyecatcher after her debut run at Newton Abbot and with that under her belt, can progress to take this. Lady Bowes is worth a look in the market for a yard that are rarely seen in bumpers.
