- Marlen Roberts Novice Auction Stakes (Plus 10) (Class 4)
- 5 Runners
- Surface: Turf
April Beverley winner (5f, good to firm) who despite being a beaten odds-on favourite twice since has performed consistently; claimed after finishing a neck second (for Mick Channon) to Allhallowtide on the Westwood (5f, good to soft) 15 days ago.
Has previous with Birkenhead (on debut); his best run came when beaten 6L (second) by Full Authority in a 5f Chester maiden (soft) in May; over-raced early doors when folding tamely back on the Roodeye (6f) latest.
Has demonstrated a fair level of ability with cut underfoot, winning by 2L at Nottingham (5f, soft) on her penultimate start; in very deep behind the promising Monoski in a 6f Conditions Stakes at Pontefract (6f, good to firm) since; major player.
Took a step forward from her AW debut (6f) when finishing a close third to the Richard Fahey-trained Exceptional in a 5f fillies' maiden at Carlisle (soft) a fortnight ago, weakening after racing prominently against the favoured stands side rail.
Slowly away on debut (66/1) at Carlisle a fortnight ago when finishing three places and 3½L behind today's rival Dream Kart (sixth of ten to Exceptional); possibility of better to come, albeit others make more appeal.
