- Tracey Harris Birthday Handicap (Class 6)
- 1m 7f 218y, Standard / Slow
- 14 Runners
- Surface: Polytrack
Has been a fairly consistent handicapper over the past year winning at this track and being placed twice over 1m4f. Steep step up in trip here but seems to cope no problem when stepped up to 1m5f and 1m6f in recent outings. One to consider.
Busy and versatile handicapper who has mainly been campaigned at Southwell. Generally consistent but question mark about how he will cope with surface. Tried in cheekpieces for the first time.
Won twice on this track (1m4f) in recent years and rarely runs a poor race. Winner over this trip at Lingfield two starts ago. Never won off such a high handicap mark but not without a chance.
Returned with some promise after a near two year absence at Chepstow last month and is entitled to improve for that outing. Certainly stays this trip and any market moves would be interesting.
Has had his problems over the years and now over two years since his last victory. Ran reasonably well at the weights in a recent Wolverhampton claimer. Chances on that form but not one to really rely upon.
Fair effort over 1m4f on her reappearance run at Doncaster in March but ran as though something amiss last time at Southwell. Blinkers applied for the first time here and not out of the reckoning by any means.
Won over this trip at Lingfield in March and has run creditably since at Salisbury and again at Lingfield (1m6f). Needs things to drop right but capable of winning a race of this type again.
Has not seemed to have benefited from a recent change in stable, beaten over 14 lengths in each of his last two runs. Step up in trip should help as he has run well over it in the past but recent form is worrying.
Solid AW performer over a variety of trips. On a hat-trick having scored at Southwell and Wolverhampton in April (both over 1m6f). 50 day absence might be a cause for concern but should stay this trip well and be in the shake up.
Rarely runs a poor race and showed his recent well-being when not beaten too far over 1m6f at Yarmouth three weeks ago. Stepping up in trip here but definitely one to consider.
Much improved effort on his reappearance at Salisbury in April, clearly appreciating the step up in trip to 1m6f. Extra two furlongs could bring the best out of him and his chances deserves closer inspection.
Has won after a long absence in the past but form from last year was patchy at best. Certainly stays this trip but hard to have much confidence in him at the moment.
Only once been beaten by less than 10 lengths in his career. No real reason why he should suddenly show improved form unless he has been crying out for this step up in trip.
Consistent mare but an infrequent winner. Narrowly won similar contest over 1m4f at Lingfield over the winter and may improve for this step up in trip. Probably place claims at best.
