Improved with each run as a juvenile as he stepped up in trip. Already boasts a fair level of form and could be even better following his winter break. Stable going well so he is likely to prove hard to beat if taking to the AW.
Shamardal colt who cost 100,000 gns as a yearling and is a half-brother to nine winners, including Haydock Sprint Cup winner Regal Parade. Taking pedigree, hails from a top, in-form yard and is very much one to bear in mind on debut.
Gelded son of Acclamation who cost €62,000 as a yearling and whose dam was a Group 2 winner over 7f as a juvenile. Only eighth of 11 on recent debut at Chantilly, but should do better with that experience under his belt in first-time blinkers.
Showed some ability in five starts as a juvenile for John Quinn. First start for this trainer following gelding and wind operations and is probably best watched.
Forecasts
Fox Leicester (1/4), King Shamardal (3/1), Rum Lad (25/1), Obsession For Gold (50/1)
Rum Lad is exposed and Obsession For Gold needs to show dramatic improvement on his debut effort so this may be fought out by the newcomer King Shamardal and FOX LEICESTER. The former will need to be useful to beat the selection, who already has solid form on his CV and promises to be even better as a three-year-old.
