Right back to form when a winner at Wetherby last time out, responding well to pressure and giving the impression this step up in trip today would suit. Worry may be that he reserves best efforts for that track, but clearly has chances.
Came good at Hexham in May and ran at least as well next start but since then it's been downhill, and he was beaten before the 4m trip became an issue at Hexham last time. Plenty to prove at present.
Inconsistent but there's the odd effort that gives hope he can be competitive here, including one at this track in March. Ran okay last time out too, but this trip asks a new question. Blinkers given a go. Risky.
Looks useful enough on a going day but they are few and far between and he has been known to throw the towel in when things aren't going his way. On a winning mark, but all depends what side of bed he gets out of.
Still retains some enthusiasm for the job at the age of 13, but hard to win with and this trip is a complete unknown. Add in the fact he's 9lb out of the handicap and he's hard to make a solid case for.
Houndscourt has chances if he fancies it, but he has as many non-going days as he does good ones, and is very risky. Preference is for the two at the top of the handicap, with the unexposed BLAKERIGG just getting the vote over Pookie Pekan. Both should be capable of better this season, but Blakerigg looked a different horse after a wind op last time and is taken to follow up.
