Useful hurdler who hasn't taken to fences, falling in a novice chase at Navan (2m1f) on latest start;poss ible that this run is intended as a confidence booster, but entitled to respect, and market useful.
Won decent handicap at Punchestown in April over 2m5f, and didn't shape badly when sixth of 13 to Walk To Freedom at Navan on recent return. Will improve for that, but no easy task at these weights.
Blundered and unseated rider on return to the track at Navan last month following a long absence (won three times as a novice). Quickly turned out once again, but has a bit to find even if back to pick of his novice form.
Dual hurdles winner at up to 2m7f for Philip Hobbs, but ran poorly on chase debut at Doncaster in January, and something to prove having moved yards since.
Smart form when fourth in Ballymore at Cheltenham Festival in March. Beaten at skinny odds on Flat at Killarney in May, but has outstanding form claims on return to timber.
Won a Flat maiden here in May, but mixed bag over fences since, falling in Cork Grand National last time, and limited appeal even if back to his best here.
Prolific winner in point-to-points, but just modest form in two starts over hurdles last month, and out of her depth here.
Forecasts
Scarpeta (1/2), Westland Row (7/1), Val De Ferbet (7/1), Prince Garyantle (8/1), Chateau Conti (14/1), Robbin'hannon (33/1), Ask Mary (33/1)
SCARPETA stands out on the ratings, and looks hard to beat on his return to hurdles, especially with main rival Chateau Conti possibly short on confidence after some misadventures over fences of late. Westland Row is best of the rest, assuming he's none the worse for being brought down on his belated return.
