Won a fair looking seller at Goodwood last time out and, given her yard sends her a long way for this, the hint is taken that she may still have a bit more to offer. The drop in trip is a slight concern though.
Been in fair form in low-key handicaps and claimers of late. Has won twice for Paul Hannagan in the past and the partnership doesn't have too much to find to bag themselves a third win together if all goes to plan. Serious contender.
Showed a bit of promise in maidens but handed a stiff looking initial mark for what he's actually achieved. Drop into this grade looks a logical step but the gelding still has a bit to prove at present.
Didn't fare too well on her only previous visit to this course and, given that she's 0-19 up to press, the filly is running out of chances. Stiff test on these terms given her lowly rating of just 34.
Placed here a couple of times and given a chance at the weights. Sound claims if able to repeat the form of her penultimate start at Ayr but a poor run last time out needs to be forgiven.
Won this race on similar ground last year and has a very feasible chance of repeating the feat at the weights. However, she's not quite had the same preparation this time; so a betting check is advised.
Still a maiden and her form has been in decline since March. A drop in grade failed to work the oracle when she was held in a claimer at Redcar when last seen out. However, as a front-runner, she would still be dangerous to dismiss in a weak race.
Forecasts
Carnageo (4/7), Can Can Sixty Two (3/1), What Wonders Weave (11/1), Rosemay (12/1), Alliteration (25/1), Golden Guide (25/1), Kirkby's Phantom (150/1)
A chance is taken that keeping CARNAGO busy will provide the key to putting the gelding back on the winning path. He gets on well with Paul Hannagan and may well have been found an ideal opportunity to live up his billing as officially the best horse in the race (according to the BHA ratings). What Wonders Weave landed this last year and is once again feared as a threat, but hasn't had the benefit of as many runs this season, so it may be down to Can Can Sixty Two to provide the selection with the most to do.
