Son of Scat Daddy who cost $220,000 as a yearling and made an impressive start to his career with a second and a win in this company. Not disgraced when finding the class too hot in the Vintage Stakes but remains a smart prospect. The one to beat.
Son of German Derby and Prix Ganay winner Pastorius who is going to need further than this in due course. Worth a check in the market but stable a touch quiet recently and likely to do better in handicaps over a stiffer test.
Showed speed but didn't really improve on debut when well held over 6f here on his second start. Has stamina in his pedigree but likely to do better once qualified for handicaps.
Son of Australia who cost €90,000 as a yearling. Ran very green in a decent contest on debut and likely to improve with experience. However bred to need a much stiffer test of stamina.
By Mount Nelson out of a Dubawi mare and well worth a check in the market on debut. However stable hasn't fired with their juveniles this season.
Forecasts
Federal Law (2/13), Lord Lamington (6/1), Felix (11/1), Roma Bangkok (33/1), Cromwell (33/1), Buckman Tavern (66/1), Glutnforpunishment (125/1)
This looks a clear opportunity for FEDERAL LAW to get back to winning ways and after finding the transition to Group company at Glorious Goodwood coming a bit too quick, it would be disappointing if he couldn't put these rivals away back down in class. The three previously raced opponents don't look opposition on what we've seen so far so Felix, Roma Bangkok and Buckman Tavern are worth noting for any market moves.
