Returned with a strong second on her reappearance in a race which is working out well. Should be fitter and likely to go close if handling this quicker ground which does remain a question.

Has run to a conistent level on his last three starts but just one win from 30 races on the turf and would have preferred some cut in the ground.

Highly progressive performer on a variety of surfaces winning three in a row and then a career best second. However really disappointing last time and needs to bounce back.

Seems effective on any ground and continued progress with a second on seasonal reappearance. Hit the line as though he should stay this distance and looks a leading contender.

Possibilities on last season's form but would prefer a softer surface and cheekpieces now added after a disappointing reappearance on the AW.

Missed last year and only had two starts back. Well beaten into last on handicap debut and would need considerable improvement to break maiden tag at this level.

Well held in his last three starts on the Flat for Henry Spiller and was pulled up over hurdles on stable debut. Remains best watched.

Third in this race last year off 6lb higher and has dropped to a handy mark. Was unsuited by the track last time and has good form over this C&D. Should be better for two runs back and likely to go close.

Looks a touch high in the handicap after some progressive form but was unsuited by slow pace last time and could be competitive with race likely to be run to suit.

Has dropped to a great mark and probably should have won last time. He had to go wide after travelling strongly and only just failed. Conditions look ideal and he'll likely go close.

Well handicapped at present and placed in all three starts for new stable. Should be competitive again but showed last time that he ideally wants further.

Has only raced on soft ground since leaving Richard Hannon but was disappointing over 6f here last time. Something to prove on better ground over the furthest distance of his career.

Had been struggling in handicaps before running on after being outpaced early for a second in a claimer last time. Likely to find it tough back up in grade but does go well here.

Lightly-raced and returned with a career-best second. Open to further progress and could run well but this is a much tougher race.

Verdict

An open looking handicap in which Family Fortunes will be rightly popular having been given a good chance by the handicapper and only just failed to notch a third career success off this mark last time. Madeleine Bond ran really well on her seasonal reappearance and should be fitter for it. She looks a contender providing she can handle the likely quicker ground. Dourado can take another step forwards up in trip but preference is for WIND IN MY SAILS who ran well in last year's renewal and is well handicapped back at his preferred track.
  1. Wind In My Sails
  2. Family Fortunes
  3. Dourado
