Takes a drop in grade here after finishing well beaten at Market Rasen but does need to prove that this trip suits. Tries cheekpieces as well as the hood tonight but even in a race as weak as this, has a bit to prove.
Point-to-point winner last March and showed a glimmer of ability behind the talented Euxton Lane at Fontwell in March. Faces a more realistic task on handicap debut tonight and this trip should suit. One to be interested in.
Well backed at Huntingdon last time and was far from disgraced in finishing a close fifth behind an improving winner. This looks far less competitive, and merely a repeat of that is likely to take him close. Shortlisted.
Showed little over hurdles so far and signs of temperament to boot last time, swerving badly and unseating his rider early. Can't be backed with confidence until showing a bit more.
Yet to win under Rules in 14 starts but has at least got a couple of point-to-point wins to his name, albeit some while ago. Ran okay at Newcastle on comeback run, step up in trip will suit and might be capable of taking a medal home.
Shown very little aptitude for the game in five starts so far and no better for the step up into handicaps last time. Goes up in trip here and it all looks a bit like guesswork at present. Others make more appeal.
Shown very little so far although his Carlisle fourth in February hinted at ability. Well beaten on handicap debut and may well need this after a break anyway.
Well treated if you want to go back far enough, but there's some huge gaps on his CV already and is facing another one tonight, having not run since December 2016. However, has had wind surgery, so worth a look in the market if nothing else.
His third to Pickamix in a Market Rasen bumper makes him look well treated here but subsequent efforts suggest that was a bit of a fluke. Pulled up when well beaten latest and needs a bundle of improvement from somewhere.
