Decent dual purpose performer who won decisively over C&D in January. Recent hurdles run is best ignored and he has solid claims off this mark on a surface which suits.
Having his first run for this in-form stable when narrowly landing a 1m6f handicap at Wolverhampton last month. Up 3lb, which makes life tough, but cannot be ruled out with more improvement on the cards.
Fair third in a jumpers' bumper at Newcastle in March and won a handicap chase at Market Rasen on Boxing Day. Something of an unknown quantity on his first start on Fibresand and may be best watched.
Winning hurdler and competent performer in AW Flat handicaps. Won over C&D on March and although beaten off this mark last time, that was over an extended 2m. Solid each-way claims.
Irish challenger who is a maiden after 11 races on the Flat, three of them on the AW. Well held off 5lb higher at Navan last time, but is worth checking in the betting.
Only win in 25 starts on the Flat came on turf at Haydock. No threat in recent starts on the AW and is readily opposed despite a reduced handicap mark given he is 4lb out of the weights.
Veteran who is on a long, losing sequence and was beaten quite a long way over 1m4f at this track on Monday. Hard to make a case for from 4lb out of the handicap.
Forecasts
Katie Gale (9/4), Scrafton (5/2), Samtu (3/1), Siempre Amigos (5/1), Fair Loch (12/1), Clayton Hall (33/1), Monzino (100/1)
Fair Loch, Clayton Hall and Monzino have something to prove, but Scrafton and top-weight Samtu are weighted to be in the mix and can certainly make their presence felt. Siempre Amigo is worth noting for any market support, but the vote goes to the consistent KATIE GALE, who should appreciate this drop back in trip and can be relied on to give it her best shot.
