Settled a lot better than he had been doing when making all at Hereford last time with his yard also finding some form. Only given a 5lb rise for that win and there could be more to come although did have quite a hard race last time.

His penultimate start (first-time cheekpieces) saw him run way above anything that he had shown before and that looks a dubious piece of form. He certainly failed to back that up last time (pulled-up) and hard to fancy.

Finally the Venetia Williams team have started to get going this year and her ONE STYLE won in good fashion last time out at Hereford seeming to settle a little better this time. The handicapper has only raised him 5lb and that gives him a good chance of following up here. Quite a few of these look to have lost their way but San Pietro can’t be totally written off and would have a good chance if he came back to his old form especially with the blinkers tried for the first time. Finding anything else with sound form is difficult and it may well be that Apache Pilot can take the minor slot returning from a break.
