Effective from 2m4f-3m and scored at Doncaster (good) in novices' company last season. Has been a victim of her own consistency this season and needs to eek out a bit more to win again. Considered.
Well-placed to win three of her last four starts last summer, including here over slightly shorter. Raised 11lb since last run, which will ask questions and all of her best form has been on good ground, which is a slight concern.
Won a similar race here (soft) over a bit shorter in February when 10lb lower. Gets this trip and has improved in both runs since that success. Nudged up another 2lb here but this is a weaker contest than last time and she has claims.
Improved on her second start in handicap company when scoring at Haydock (2m3f, heavy) in December from 5lb lower. Not able to repeat that effort at Ludlow last time from today's mark but can be forgiven one off-day and is on the short-list again.
Has put together a promising CV this winter in maiden/novices' company and scored here in the latter over 2m (soft) in February. Well beaten in Cheltenham Grade 2 last month and a shade disappointing at Wincanton last time in heavy ground.
Scored from today's mark at Kempton in autumn 2016. Not far off that level of form on several occasions since but unable to turn any of those efforts into victories. Went close in a decent mares' handicap at Haydock last time; that looks good form.
Landed a relatively weak mares' novices' contest at Exeter last time out. Encouraging that she has a win under her belt and she may be capable of taking another step forward this time but her initial mark looks challenging enough.
Forecasts
Iconic Sky (11/4), War Creation (4/1), Just Milly (9/2), Midtech Valentine (9/2), Rouergate (7/1), Love Lane (10/1), Sweet Holly (10/1)
MIDTECH VALENTINE was not far from winning a deeper race than this at Haydock last time out and looks to have her best chance of success in almost 18-months in this field. Just Milly should again be very competitive though she is vulnerable, while Iconic Sky, War Creation and Sweet Holly all make some appeal.
