71-rated flat performer effective at up to 1m4f for Ed Dunlop. In rear throughout on hurdles debut at Sandown eventually finishing sixth of seven. Big step up on that form required.
76-rated dual flat winner who eventually stayed 1m2f. 8½L third of nine at Catterick on hurdles debut was a promising enough start but likelihood is that this will be tougher race.
86-rated on the flat and stayed 1m6f. Looks a very useful recruit to a yard who does exceptionally well with juvenile hurdlers and has indeed won this race three times before.
100/1 winner of his lone flat start in the French provinces over 1m4f last month. Since bought by owners who regularly have top-class performers in this division and joined a yard having another good season.
Maiden of three starts on the flat at around 1m4f achieving a rating of 74. Probably prove useful over hurdles given low mileage so far.

Forecasts
Redicean (11/8), Kings Inn (7/4), Salix (2/1), Haulani (7/2), Ray's The Money (8/1), Towie (9/1), First Quest (33/1), King Cnut (50/1)
None of the three with hurdles form make a huge amount of appeal so newcomers for a host of powerful yards are the ones best to concentrate on. Paul Nicholls has an excellent record in this race and his 100,000 Euro purchase KINGS INN gets the vote. Alan King also knows what it takes to win this so his Redicean is high on the list. Salix has been bought by the shrewd Munir and Souede partnership so he too is well respected.
