Experienced campaigner who has been in good form on last three starts without getting her head in front. Down to a fair mark and has solid claims.
Last of 11 career wins came at Brighton in August off 5lb lower. Likes AW surfaces and has two C&D successes to his name, but latest efforts have not been his best.
Returned to winning ways with a C&D success earlier this month. A 3lb rise is fair and he must have a sound chance if in the same mood.
Two second-placed finishes preceded a fair fifth to Cappananty Con over C&D last time. Will do well to turn the tables on 4lb better terms for a beating of 3½L.
Made most of the running before fading into fourth behind Cappananty Con on latest outing. He is 3lb better off for a 1¼L margin of defeat and is one of several from that race with each-way claims.
Had been running over 7f before switching to 6f last time and comfortably justifying favouritism in a weak maiden. More to do, but confidence should be high and connections seem to have found his optimum trip.
Won five races for Richard Hannon, but is still looking for first success for current trainer and has not been at his best on last couple of starts, the latest after a break. Fairly handicapped and should strip fitter for his recent run.
Third over C&D on latest start in the race won by Cappananty Con. Raced keenly that day and has bright prospects if settling better at these revised weights.
Forecasts
Nezar (11/4), Cappananty Con (7/2), Aleef (9/2), Envisaging (5/1), Diamond Lady (7/1), Red Tycoon (7/1), Upavon (12/1), Aguerooo (14/1)
Cappananty Con won over C&D last time, with Red Tycoon, Aleef and Nezar behind. As ever in these sprints, the run of the race will be vital, but it may be that Aleef comes out on top if he can get to the front again and his leading jockey can save a little more. That said, he may be pushed to hold off ENVISAGING, who won a maiden last time at his first attempt over this trip and is feasibly handicapped. Diamond Lady has solid claims and can make her presence felt.
