Makes his debut here having cost 90,000 gns as a yearling and is a half-brother to several winners including the useful 7f winner Meeting Waters. Dam was a 6f winner (including as a two-year-old) and the yard are capable of first-time out juvenile winners.
Looks to be the stable second string here on debut with the dam being once-raced and a half-sister to a smart winner at up to a mile in Russian Soul. Even in this small field he has a relatively difficult draw.
Hinted at some ability on his debut at Sandown over 7f with just some match sharpness lacking. Still needed the experience last time out over C&D and it could well be nurseries after this run.
The third newcomer in the field from a yard not known for their juveniles but they have had a debut winner in this sphere. Cost £12,000 as a juvenile and is a half-brother to three winners but the outside draw makes life challenging.
Very much sets the standard here having been an eye-catcher on his debut over C&D taking second behind a well-fancied runner with more experience. Well berthed on his second start to build on his experience from last time out.
Made his debut at Thirsk over a mile and drops back a furlong here having shown some ability last time out (slow away) and was keeping on when denied a run late on. Stable not associated with juveniles and may find this a bit sharp.
Forecasts
Spud (30/100), Fanan (4/1), Manor Park (16/1), Kendergarten Kop (20/1), Regular Income (33/1), Weinberg (66/1)
This doesn’t look a particularly deep contest and SPUD really ought to be able to build on his promising debut over C&D a couple of weeks ago. Fanan should be the best of the newcomers with Manor Park looking for a mark after this run for nurseries.
