Winning for the second time when successful in a 6f handicap at York (good-to-firm) and ran well when finishing third over the same C&D in a Group 3 event a month ago. Drops in grade here and looks likely to play a leading role in this.

Wore blinkers (retained since) for the first time when winning on soft ground over 6f at Carlisle in June. Best effort in two 7f starts since came when third of six on soft ground a Doncaster last time out and the drop in trip should suit here.

Ran well when finishing a close fifth over 7f at Maisons-Laffitte (soft) in a Listed event on her seasonal debut last month. Making her debut for a new yard on that occasion and is of interest having won in Group 2 company as a two-year-old.

Winner of three of her nine starts to date most recently over 6f at Chester (good) last month. Didn't appear to appreciate softer ground subsequently and better ground forecast today is likely to see her in a better light.

Verdict

French raider SPAIN BURG already a Group 2 winner in this country can take this contest dropping back to 6f for the first time since winning a Listed event over a year ago. Nicolas Clement's charge wasn't beaten far over 7f on her return to action and is taken to get the better of fellow three-year-old Queen Kindly who drops in grade today having been touched off in a Group 3 last time out. Glenrowan Rose, the likely pacesetter in this contest can hold on for third having won over 5f the last twice.

  3. Glenrowan Rose
