Half-brother to the useful hurdler and chaser Rupert Lamb, but despite initial steady progress in bumpers, hasn't really excelled in three starts over hurdles. Nevertheless, could be the type to do better on handicap debut and the market will be informative.
Second at odds of 100/1 on hurdles debut at Hexham in June, but unable to build upon that in two subsequent starts. Possibly of limited ability, but should be better served by stepping into handicap company for the first time.
Had just a couple of starts for this yard, and was narrowly denied by the Dan Skelton trained Shrubland off this mark at Uttoxeter last Sunday. Every likelihood he's capable of going one better before the handicapper readjusts his mark accordingly.
No match for the winner, but ran okay when runner up to Timeforwest over 2m4f+ here in March, but hasn't been at his sharpest since (mainly over fences). Likely to prove more effective back over hurdles and clearly enjoys this track. First time visor added to tongue tie.
Stable could hardly have made a better start and this mare makes her first start for the yard having seemingly regressed sharply for her previous trainer. Possible that this is a learning curve with the champion jockey booked, but interesting to see what a new trainer makes of this January 2016 2m4f Plumpton maiden hurdle winner. First time tongue tie and cheek-pieces applied.
Seven race maiden, but was staying on when 8L third to Stonecoldsoba over 2m here last month. On that evidence, this longer trip should suit, and he's far from fully exposed in handicaps.
A narrow nose winner from a 3lb higher mark at Huntingdon in March (2m good to soft), but isn't the most consistent of performers overall. Did okay in the first time cheek-pieces when beaten just over 6L by Gold Class over 2m here early last month (runner up Banff has won on the Flat since). Stamina a slight concern over this longer trip.
Only the one win from 58 starts, which rather tells it's own story, but did make the frame in a seller at Hexham in early May. Others look far less exposed, so readily bypassed.
Appears to save her best form for Bangor (2,1,5,2 at that venue) and was always struggling and never in the hunt when pulled up at Worcester on her latest start in May. Tough to fancy.

A few of these horses have the potential to do much better than previously, including Jack Lamb (handicap debut), Greenworldsolution (longer trip) and Saucysioux (new yard), but it is BEAU BAY who makes most appeal. He is another horse that has thrived for the switch to Grand National winning trainer Dr Richard Newland. From a mark of 100, he looks certain to be tough to beat if able to reproduce last Sunday's Uttoxeter effort.
