Intense Focus gelding, cost €10,000 as a foal and €46,000 as a yearling. Half-brother to Listed two-year-old winners Fadhayyil, Athenian and Zip Zip, dam a Group 3 winner. Followed up debut win with a win in Listed company at Saint-Cloud. This no doubt tougher but more progress likely and proven in soft ground so has to be considered.
High Chaparral colt, cost €46,000 as a foal and €65,000 as a yearling. Didn't need to improve from his debut to win at Newcastle on second start and stayed on well to win at Ascot last time when conceding weight to all of his rivals. This is a big step up but trainer's runners can improve markedly between runs and yard are in form. Each-way claims.
Acclamation colt, dam a half-sister to Cheveley Park and 1,000 Guineas winner Special Duty. Turned over an odds-on favouite at Newbury last time out and makes plenty of appeal on pedigree but yard have gone a shade quiet and much more needed this time. Perhaps best watched.
Finjaan colt, cost 2,200 gns as a yearling and dam a half-sister to Group placed Crown Dependency. Improved for his debut when narrowly landing a contest at Sandown last month but this is a different proposition entirely and there's more appealing contenders in the line up.
Exceed And Excel colt, plenty of promise on his debut run and followed that up with a fine effort in Listed company at Royal Ascot. Didn't need to improve when returned to maiden company at Doncaster last time but likely to relish the step up in trip here; has to be a player if he doesn't mind some cut in the ground.
Teofilo colt, full-brother to a two-year-old winner over this trip and dam a half-sister to Listed winner Marsh Daisy and Group-placed Yankee Doodle. Typically forward type for this yard on debut when winning a decent looking contest and every bit as impressive when winning at Newbury last month. Trainer has a fine record at this meeting and yard could hardly be in better form.
Red Jazz colt, cost €10,000 as a foal, 26,000 gns as a yearling and a half-brother to four winners. Shock 20/1 winner on debut but not really progressed from that in two runs at Newmarket since. Finished well beaten in a Group 2 at Royal Ascot last time and needs to improve for the step up to this trip.
Havana Gold colt, cost 90,000 gns as a foal and 200,000 gns as a yearling. Half-brother to smart sprinter Archimedes out of winning full-sister to Group 3 winner Bungleinthejungle. Showed why he was well backed on debut when landing a 7f contest at Epsom last time out, getting the hang of things late on. Yard won four renewals of this contest between 2010 and 2013 but shapes like he may want a little further than this and others bring stronger form to the table.
Scat Daddy colt, cost $750,000 as a yearling with a nice dirt pedigree. Trainer's runners often need their debut but this colt stayed on best to win at Naas last month. Carried his head awkwardly and very green in that race, while soft ground also raises question marks but step up in trip will help and yard have won two of the last three renewals of this contest.
Dutch Art colt, cost 75,000 gns as a yearling and 160,000 gns as a Breeze-Up purchase. Won on debut at York and bounced back from a slightly disappointing effort at Royal Ascot with a win at Pontefract two starts back. Not far behind Gustav Klimt at Newmarket last time out and first-time blinkers could eke out more improvement but soft ground is an unknown.

Expert Eye (7/4), Mildenberger (7/2), Seahenge (4/1), Zaman (8/1), James Garfield (12/1), Cold Stare (16/1), Watheer (20/1), Sallab (25/1), Curiosity (33/1), Roland Rocks (66/1), Finsbury Park (100/1)
Mark Johnston has a fine record at the Goodwood Festival and his runner MILDENBERGER arrives here attempting to defend his 100% record. His win at Newbury last time out was impressive and it's likely this will have been a long term target for the colt. Seahenge represents last year's winning connections but he will have to settle better to win this. Zaman could prove the main danger having only finished 1½L off Gustav Klimt last time out.
